Advanced Home Theater (AHT) keeps building on its strong relationship with Miami Children’s Hospital by donating another fully equipped children’s entertainment room. The new FuXplor Room has been outfitted with a 90” HD screen, Xbox Kinect, and three sensory interaction displays.

AHT and the Michael Fux Family worked together to create a second  great space for parents and their families to relax and leave the hospital environment behind, all while remaining in the facility.

The new room is used by all families and children, but is geared towards children with special needs. Children of all ability levels will be able to interact with displays using gestures and voice commands. Some upcoming future upgrades include Ground FX equipment, which will produce visual effects on various surfaces, track body position, and allow for real time interaction with the projected images. These technologies not only provide special needs children with much needed fun, but can also be part of a therapeutic treatment process.

The FuXplor Room is a great place for children to have dance lessons, compete in Xbox Kinect contests and watch movies when the theater is full. Families will also be able to use the space for yoga, meditation, Zumba classes, and watching major sporting events.  Advanced Home Theater has fully equipped the entertainment room with Crestron technologies.

The project included a car pedestal(pictured below) with a camera and voice system, two pedestrian entry stations and four internal call stations. The entire system uses eight cameras and is connected to a DVR and can be controlled remotely. Advanced Home Theater installed all of the components and ensured all of the pieces worked together smoothly to present a well designed and highly functional entry point.

The focus of this amazing setup is two large HD screens. With two smaller touch panel screens on the wings, and six smaller touch panel screens on a row on top of the two larger screens, every guess will be able to find something to entertain them. This system allows viewers to simply “drag” the program from on of the smaller screens onto the larger screen. There is no need to walk over to a remote control center.
